About Robert

Robert started riding at Silver Spade Ranch in 2015 when he started taking private lessons with Nick. Over the next couple years, he continued riding every chance he could with Nick and Jessie until 2017, when he and his wife moved to Eastern Oregon, where Robert spent a winter working on a feedlot. They moved back to Washington County in 2018 at which time Robert started working for Nick full time. During this time he rode training horses, taught private lessons, and took care of various chores around the ranch. In 2020, he went to part time, mainly teaching lessons and helping with training horses when possible.  Robert really excells in helping folks get started with riding and learning the basics of our program, which he will continue to be able to do.  We are fortunate to have him on our Donohue Horsemanship team!

In his free time, Robert enjoys riding his personal horse, Laramie, hunting, camping, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Sarah, and their dog, Arlo.
